Easy Migration To MechanicWeb

MechanicWeb offers free migration services to transfer your websites, scripts, databases, and emails from your previous service provider to your new hosting account with us. This service is offered for free to all Shared, Reseller, Semi Dedicated, Managed VPS, Quasi, and Managed Dedicated Server clients. We will work with you to ensure your site is up and running.

Free Migration

Migration is free if your previous server is a cPanel or DirectAdmin based server. Full cPanel / DirectAdmin Backup must be enabled on the previous server. Contact us if your previous server does not have cPanel or DirectAdmin; you might still qualify for free migration.

Free Manual Migration

We will migrate one website for free with select hosting services if your old server does not have cPanel or DirectAdmin.

WP Migrator / Migration Tool

It is a self service migration tool. You can use it to migrate WordPress websites from supported servers, i.e., if your previous server does not have cPanel or DirectAdmin or has the full backup option disabled.

Migrate Using File Manager and Phpmyadmin

If the WordPress migration tool does not support your previous server, you can utilize several built-in tools and plugins to migrate WordPress using File Manager and phpMyAdmin.

How Migration Works

• Sign up for a new MechanicWeb hosting account.
• Open up a support ticket requesting migration.
• Optionally, you can provide your backup files and request a restore to speed up the migration. The backup files must be full account backups.

*You can directly upload backups from your previous hosting account without downloading them at your end.

Migration Terms

For Reseller Hosting, we will initially migrate all cPanel / DirectAdmin accounts and 10 per month thereafter. There is no restriction on the number of accounts when you upload full cPanel / DirectAdmin backups.

For Managed VPS, Quasi, and Managed Dedicated Server, we will migrate all cPanel / DirectAdmin accounts if you have root access to the previous server. If you do not have root access, Reseller Hosting limits apply.

For Manual Migration, you must provide us with login details and full access to the hosting control panel, FTP, SSH, and website admin dashboard.

One of our migration specialists will spend up to 3 hours to perform the migration. If we are unable to complete the migration for some reason, we will hand over the project to you or provide you with an estimate, whichever you prefer.

In most cases, we will complete the migration within 24 hours of receiving such a request, depending on the number of accounts and websites to migrate. However, there is no guarantee that such a timeframe will be met in all cases.

We will need your full cooperation and full access to the source hosting account for the migration process to function smoothly.

All websites and files are transferred as is. End users are responsible for changing nameservers and ensuring any website or software level settings, config files, etc., are correctly configured after the migration.

Free migration is a complimentary service offered free of cost to Shared, Reseller, Semi Dedicated, Managed VPS, Quasi, and Managed Dedicated Server clients. We do not guarantee that migration will be successful in all cases.
